TBAS believes that tchoukball coaches form one of the key pillars to the growth of tchoukball in Singapore. Hence, we have established several FITB endorsed courses to help interested coaches to improve their coaching and playing skills.
TBAS is committed to develop a tchoukball coaching curriculum that will be recognised by Singapore Sports Council (SSC) as NCAP Technical Certification and pave the way for tchoukball coaches to be registered under the National Registry of Coaches (NROC) in time to come.
Course Details :
Introduction to Tchoukball Workshop (ITB)
Introduction to Tchoukball workshop is a workshop open to everyone with or without prior knowledge about Tchoukball. Participants will be taken through a 2 hours hands-on session, where they get to learn more about the sport, it's origin and game play.
This workshop is a prerequisite to attend the International Tchoukball Federation (FITB) ‘C’ Licence Coaching Course.
A Certificate of Attendance will be awarded upon completion.
FITB Tchoukball "C" Licence Coaching Course
The International Tchoukball Federation (FITB) 'C' Licence Coaching Course seeks to equip the participants to be competent in conducting the Introduction to Tchoukball Workshop. Participants will be taught the basic technical and tactical aspects of the game, and sport-related risk management.
At the end of the course, participants are required to undergo a 1 hour theory written paper, and conduct a practical assessment consisting of the assigned simple Tchoukball drill segment.
A 3-year Tchouker (Individual membership) will be issued to all participants. New members will receive a members only Orange or Black colour ‘Tchoukball Singapore’ dry-fit tee (worth S$15) and a membership card that is also a 2GB USB flash drive (worth S$25). All participants will receive course material, coaches handbook, a coaching manual by Coach Fang, whistle and a pair of knee pads.
Existing Tchouker members will receive a complimentary 3-year extension to their membership.
In addition, participants who pass the course will receive:
1. An FITB 'C' Licence Coach Card valid for 3 years
2. A TBAS Coach Shirt
Prerequisite
Before attending this course, participants must have earlier attained the Certificate of Attendance for Introduction to Tchoukball Workshop (ITB).
